3.91 gears on my v6?

Ok, I want to switch to a 3.91 gear system, I have a 2013 1LT Automatic with Tap-Shifters. What is the price point and difficulty of this install?

The only way to put those gears in a V6 equipped with the auto is to swap the entire rear end. They drop in the V6 manual but not the auto.

You need part of the V8 drive shaft, the halfshafts, the diff, and possibly the gears themselves, unless you get the diff from a 1LE.

best you can do is 3.55, with stock rear.

Price point on the whole set up on the rear end for the 3.91 including everything? Or switching to the 3.55 is that a big difference?

Best way i can think of is to go to a salvage yard and see if you can find any SS rear ends still intact for a good price

Why do you want the 3.91 gears?

for the price, I don't think so, but that's just me. something to consider, get smaller rims with smaller sidewall tires, so the overall diameter is smaller. With the smaller diameter and lighter rims, you will essentially be doing the same as getting a lower gear.

You have to swap a few things before you can get the 3.91 gears.
ZAbeast had it fine while doing the supercharger install.

Does anybody have a roundabout price for the swapping of the rear ends plus everything needed or just switching to 3.51 gear, any price point?
