thought i'd share with any one interested i've snapped two axles and one drive shaft in 4000 mi. in my 2010 camaro. anyone else hear of such nonsense? never a hole shot over the factory installed 4500 rpm launch control. their threatening not to pay for any more repairs on my car by voiding the remainder of my warranty. i spoke with an attorney and he says thats legal.

I would consider looking into aftermarket axles designed for extreme levels of horsepower to avoid having to talk to them anymore.

How can they tell if the OP is abusing the car?

GM is responsible, imo. OP, is your car still bone stock?

get heavy duty racing axles....the ones on the the camaro are just as weak as the ones on the c5 vettes...gotta replace them if you are gonna do a lot of drag racing

its not very hard to spot abuse on motor vehicles...drag racing puts an enormous strain on the drivetrain

i build high performance motors for motorcycles and and use to be around a lot of drag racing on them..very easy to break parts and prematurely wear out parts..the same principals for bikes also apply to cars...if your gonna keep doing something that is harmful to your stock parts, you should upgrade to something that is suited for what your doing

Replace the stock half shafts with heavy duty half shafts. Also if it`s in your budget you should consider changing to a 3.70 rear ratio, this will help lessen drive train shock.

That dealer can spend 100,000.00 on advertising and have it completely negated by simple word of mouth advertising.

I find it hard to believe that they can cancel your warrantee unless they have proof your abusing the vehicle in a manner it was not built to sustain.

His axle issues are like my tranny issues. Can't blame the op. It is just frustration that it happened. Hope gm corrects the issue.
