The stock struts are very good, why were you looking to upgrade them?

They aren't bad, but they could be stiffer for sure.

moving to a higher rate spring with the stock struts would be another option. The damping pattern on the stock struts is very good.

Springs buddy, Rob is correct, I have installed many shocks and struts on my cars in the past Bilstein sports, Koni adjustables, Tokiko D specs and these stock Camaro shocks are amazing even compared to those, just under Tokiko D specs. I strongly feel you can add stiffer springs and be all set, trust me.

I've already added.the pfadt ones. Its stiffer, for sure, I guess im not used to a heavy car or the bounce when I go over a speed hump at say 10-15 mph.

Then for now unfortunately coilovers is the only way to go since no manufacturer has replacement struts. Pedders XA are not badly priced and a friend has them on his Camaro SS and loves them for everyday ride quality.

I am running Eibach springs, and it looks and handles great.

Ok thanks! I had kyb adjustables/eibach springs on my 2nd gen rx7 that tipped the scales just under 2200. I dont think ill beable to put the camaro on such a diet tho. Lol. Il have to see what the future holds.

As of right now the only solution for upgrading dampers on the 5th Gen Camaro market are coilovers. Our coilovers are fantastic for everything from drag cars, to street cruisers, to HPDE and Road Racing applications. They're definitely my favorite product we have designed and engineered specifically for the Camaro.

Here is the info on what Pete posted, and from your description sounds like the problem. While Coilovers are great, you already bought someone's springs so i'm kind of surprised they are still selling and not helping. (brings back memories of Alec Baldwin in Glen Gary Ross, lol)
Step 1. Pull the car up on to a drive uplift. Step 2. Loosen the following bolts/nuts: Front: ---Inner Control Arm Bushing ---Inner Radius Rod Rear: ---Trailing Arm Bushings (both ends) ---Toe Rod Bushings (both ends) ---Lower Control Arm Bushings (Inner) ---Upper Control Arm Bushings (Rearward) ---Lower Strut Bushings Step 3. Grab the subframes or sway bars, and jounce the car up and down a few times. Step 4. Tighten all of the nuts/bolts to spec. Step 5. Align the car at the new ride height. If you have any problems and can't get in touch with the manufacture or reseller you can feel free to call me i'll offer my help either way, |
