best axles

I am looking at 1000 + axles i have found three different brands. I have not found anything negative about any of them. I am sure that they have been out long enough for people to have used all the brands and know the good the bad and the ugly. so before i purchase I want all the info from the c5 members i can get.

There are many decent ones out there. Personal preference is GForce1320, but that's just me.

I'm looking for axles as well....I've yet to really see anything negative about any of them yet.

Might come down to which of the 3 is at the best price point! ( doesn't it always )

They are designed/engineered in house and utilize top-notch metals. 300-M or 4340. The size/material of the CVs is impressive as is the ability to choose 35 spline connections and higher load carrying sizes.

Again this is just personal opinion.

So far the only gripe I've heard is some clearance issues on lowered cars...which is a concern for me with my Pfadt springs.

I'm in the market for axles as well, from what I can tell the DriveShaftShop axles have the best made joints. Here are some details: http://www.phastekperformance.com/20...e-ra541xx5.htm

Of course I'll vote for our axles
We have an excellent track record on our axles and cv joints. We've never had anyone break one of our 300m axles and we've only had one cv joint fail out of all the cv joints we've put out on the market and that includes all the cars we make axles for and not just the Camaro.
If you are looking for the ultimate strength in a cv joint we can custom build you an axle with cv joints that have 300m cv cages, you won't find these anywhere on the market.
We only use 4340 and 300m for our axles and stubs and we also only use steel from US steel mills. The company we buy our steel from is a US company that has been in business for close to 100 years!
Our track record speaks for it self.

We also machine all of our axles in house on state of the art cnc machines.
In house machining is very important, it insures you get the best quality possible and it also enables us to incorporate on the fly design changes to make our parts better and better.
We may indeed be the only company that manufactures our parts in house instead of farming it out.

Give us a call if you want to talk more about what makes our products so good.

Thanks
Chris

Thanks Jason!

Isn't your car lowered? Do you have any problems with our axles rubbing?

Thanks

I'm running Hendrix axles, have been for about a year now, race a lot, right now I'm at about 700 RWHP, have beat the hell out of them, driven through wheel hop, been through a drive shaft, busted trans mainshaft, and 2 clutches, the axles are still hanging in there like they are brand new. Have about 9k miles on them. We've installed Gforce axles on my buddies 5th gen & they look like great pieces also, I personally haven't heard of anyone busting either a Gforce or a Hendrix axle.

We are re-doing the whole rear suspension right now, already had a lot of suspension parts on it, but now going with all new bushings & everything, I'm expecting that with some more seat time & suspension tuning easy 1.4x shorts once I get my Bogarts on there, so I'll be hitting them even harder in the next month or so.

I have the DSS 1400 ho axles and so far so gd. I just got these bc I got a smokin deal on them. 25 or so low 10 second passes with 1.4x 60's and no issues. All of the three are great so whatever you choose it will be the right decision.

The only reason I'm not in the 1.4x range right now is due to not having the right wheels in the back. I'm in the low 1.6x range on 305-35-20 Nitto's on stock wheels, and mid 1.5x range on 18" C6 wheels in the back with 315-35-18 TOYO DR's, probably would be better on MT's, but wanted to try out the TOYO's, once I get the Bogarts, I'll be running MT's as I do on all my other cars. I'm still on the stock gears, get the 17" bogarts on there, and some 4.10's then I should see the 9's once I get my clutch issues all fixed up. Still stock short block, bolt on's, cam, cleaned up heads, port matched intake & 1 gun.
