Would you trade.
Im assuming the answer is yes but I'm curious about opinions.
Was at a chevy dealership the other day and they have an 08 challenger srt8 (blacked out) asking around 25k. Car has 33k miles. Would you trade your v6 for it . obviously people say yes but I'm just not sure if its a great deal, cars 6 years old already. Looked stock, didn't get to drive it didn't have time. May go look tomorrow.

No.
But it depends upon your needs, what you want, and trade value vs. out of pocket, etc.

For me, personally, no. Not a chance in a million. I'm not ashamed to say I'm a Camaro guy and while I can appreciate the power (Challenger) and beauty (Mustang) in other cars, I'll not own a muscle car other than a Camaro. I've owned lots of other cars but they were family cars, not a muscle car.

I have not checked KBB, but off hand I would think that 25 for an 08 SRT may be a little high.

KBB says about $28K for private party sell. This is for a 'very good' condition car too.

Nope
Your going to take a hit in the LS trade in plus the 08 SRT8 isn't that great of a performance car considering it has a curb weight of 4100 lbs.. |

They will run bottom 13's and go over 170mph. It's also not your run of the mill SS,R/T or GT.

If you can break even and not come up in the negative on the trade then go for it. If the dealership is not willing to pay off your trade in, then no.

No, you can get a 2010+ 2SS or 2011+ Mustang GT premium with those kind of miles for less than $24k. Both of those cars are a much better car than a 08 SRT8 for even less money than they are asking. You just need to shop around. Much better cars for the money than that 08 SRT8.
