Didn't like the spoiler on this car either, looks more like a Vette without it.

A mustang doesnt NEED Brembo's, and 20 in wheels would look horrible. It was built for 16-18's. Very interesting numbers. Looks like the v6 m6 is going to be rare, just like in the 4th gens :(

I also was surprised by how few of the 1SS were ordered. I have to admit after I received my 1SS I was disappointed that it did not come equipped with the 4 pack gauges. At the time of the order I was told it should come equipped with them.
I will have this installed on my car as soon as I can. Did anyone else purchase the 1SS and was not informed of this?? I'm a bit upset that GM did not provide proper information to the dealerships. Pre-order was a pain in the butt and I will probably never do it again. There are other things that were a bit surprising, but nothing I can't add myself. I love the car and I enjoy driving it, I just wish the ordering process wasn't such a nightmare. |

Well there's one more LS now. Just signed the agreement for a black LS. They say I should get it by the weekend. First car, and it's my dream car. Now I've just got to work on doing something about the silver plastic rims, and I'm good to go.

Look online and on Ebay for trim rings. Lots of them out there.

And I don't know if it would be a good replacement for ya in 5 years. Like you I am using this as a daily driver, and I'm located in the centre of the rust belt (and declined the $1800 rustproofing/fabric protection package despite guilt-tripping by the salesperson). Plus I plan to drive this thing into the ground and not sweat dings and scratches too much. I don't see it being around in 40 years like some of the Camaro's people are buying. I don't have a camera but I'll try to get someone to take some pictures, especially when I try painting the plastic trim rings on the wheels black. Also, that is a great picture of your car. You can actually see the sky and grass in its reflection. What do use to clean or wax it? I want mine to look that great. |

Guys, I know that I am the Ford guy raining on your parade here, but from a business perspective these numbers are not good long term. Long term, as somebody else indicated already, V6 sales will represent about 60% of overall Camaro sales. The problem? V6 model sales account for roughly 30% of current model sales indicating pent up demand that will not last long term, the market simply wont sustain it. Put simply this means that, when you put the inflated by pent up enthusiast demand V8 sales numbers aside, the V6 numbers give you a better indication of long term sales prospects.
What does that tell us? If current V6 sales numbers were 60% of Camaro production the car would be in the mid 50k range for the year assuming V6 demand doesn't drop at all. If the Camaro is an automotive miracle V8 models might comprise 50% of overall Camaro sales in the long term, but even with a 50/50 split yearly production numbers still don't get anywhere near the 90k unit per year break even point GM says that this car needs to best to be viable. |
