I was going to buy caliper covers for my 2LT brakes as I didn't think painting them would make then look that much better. But when I looked at the cost I just decided to buy some SS Brembos as the car will stop better and also look better.

If I remember, the instructions come with the G2 paint and is very descriptive. Just make sure you clean the brakes really well.

I was planning to go with a black color on mine to be more subtle since the car color is crystal red tintcoat. I'll have to read the DIY on the paint but was thinking the covers might be a better option. Does anyone have issues with paint peeling or chipping after a few years? I also read that someone just replaced with Brembos. I remember reading some test on line that the stock brakes stop as well as the brembos unless you are stopping hard multiple times in a row like you would in autocross. Any feedback on the durability of the paint vs covers would be appreciated.

You are only allowed to install caliper covers if you have a toaster cover in your toaster on the kitchen counter

I painted my brembos with white G2 caliper paint over a year ago and they are still bright white and clean up to a glossy finish.
