OHHHH snap what now Holden. Seriously I never said I would do it I just refered to the fact that it has been done and not at just the freak tracks. I mean come on I think even Motor Trend or some company like that got 12's and they are usually way off from what really good drivers do. In fact I was reading a Ford magazine and the Die Hard Ford writer even admitted that these are high 12's cars bone stock. In reality the new cars are a bit of a disappointment in a straight line drag race to me. My 4th gen felt just as quick as this car when it was stock and timeslips have proved that theory as 4th gens YES YOU READ ME CORRECTLY 4TH GENS ran high 12's. Your statement "no new Camaro SS will ever run 12's stock NEVER EVER" is what is funny to me as they were doing it almost ten years ago. To think GM would let the new car be slower is just funny. I guess you think that there are just no bada** drivers out there. Hell I don't know this for fact but I bet a 05+ GTO did 12's from someone somewhere. I dont think you give these cars enough credit when applied to capable hands. P.S. I do LOVE my new car way more than my 4th gen. It is a MAJOR improvement in so many ways.

I see the claims...but showing up and doing it are somewhat different for some reason....

not saying it can't be possible...just highly improbable given the nature of drag racing.
for instance....what are the tires being used....I'll still think they were not stock tires throwing THAT KINDA weight down a 1/4 mile at those times...limiting factors are just that...

bone stock new? NOT.
these guys throwing time slips know how to race...and reducing weight and adding tires and tunes is not stock...
pull a car off the show room floor and stick a new owner behind the wheel and he deserves a medal if he cracks a 13.5...
drive the car to the track and line up.....not 12's

Other than changing my fluids , with 525 miles on a completely stock car at full weight. My second pass ever on it i went 12.94! I never drove a stick car down the track in my life until that day!!! (Ill take my Medal now)

The track in Vegas is at something like 2000+ ft. above sea level and guy always complain about their slow times at that track.
So trying to get a stock 2010 Camaro to run 12s in Vegas is most likely not going to happen and you know it. (so you're playing games).

The facts are that 2010 Camaro's are running 12s. It takes some really good air and good driving. But a good driver combined with an excellent DA will give you a 12 sec run in a 2010 Camaro (and that's a fact).

This is coming from a 05 and 06 GTO owner that now owns a 2010 Camaro.

He wants to race a stock Camaro is a 600hp GTO? That right there tell you a lot.

As mentioned, he also wants you to go to Vegas (+2028 ft. elevation track known for slow times) to try to run 12s.

He's just playing games and trying to prove a point when he knows he's wrong.

I think he just needs to man up and admit that he was wrong all those months ago. Sorry to have to tell you this Holden but there are stock new SS Camaro's running high 12's. When I say stock I meen stock down to the air filter, tune, tires, fluids everything 100% bone stock. I can see how you would not beleive some fast times if you race at a elevated track all the time. If I did that I would be sceptical too. But if you drag race alot you would know that a 13.5 car at 2000 ft above sea level is not a 13.5 car at sea level. I wonder if you also believe no stock C5 Zo6 ever ran 11's or c6 zo6 ever ran 10's. Good driver+good weather+good track+low elevation+stock 2010 Camaro SS=12's
