Perhaps the GM masterminds have succeeded in making their own Stargate portal, as all 3 are about to leap forward in time, and see 2011 a another year of kicking the Stangs A$$

I don't know about that ! Back in 09 I really didn't know if the camaro was going to live up to the hype so I was very cautious. Now that the coupe has lived up to every expectation and more my vert order is by far worse ! I know what I'm missing ! (the roof)
Bring on the verts baby !

Crazy isn't it... here we are BEGGING to give Chevy our money, and yet the games continue... My GM customer service rep, (who's voicemail clearly states-" I will return all calls within 24 hours") hasn't returned my call from Monday; at this point my original question has been answered, but still, return a damn call!

I know I'm just getting frustrated and "over" the whole wait (4 yrs is a loooong time...) but come on already! Lets get the cars out to the customers who ordered them! I thought GM was striving to improve customer service- this entire experience (to include TWO downgrades in producion status, and an eternal "limbo") has really been disheartening, to say the least!

While I SINCERELY APPRECIATE all the hard work at the ground level, theres still some serious improvements that need to be made in GM customer service before I ever order a GM car again!

Exactly, a little info goes a long way.

Mine isn't even built yet and I'm all antsy already. It will probably just get worse once i have a VIN.

If your anywhere close to as "die-hard" a Camaro fan as I am, prepare for the most frustrating, and unpredictable, inconsistant wait of your life!!!!

Hope your experience is better than mine!

I'm a VERY die hard Camaro fan. It really sucks how you guys that ordered back in mid November are getting the shaft. Hell, I ordered mine Jan 5th and it's getting built this week.

The problem I have is not a delay with getting the car built, That I expected. What is that the cars are built and some have been sitting for a month (mine three weeks today) while others built last week are shipped and in dealers.
Lets get some info GM. Called my dealer an hour ago and he can't even get word.
THis delay is costing me money in that I used my GM card to build a rebate, but now rebate money is falling off the 5 year timeline.

Two options...

GM says "To hell with it" and ships your convertibles now as-is. A few years down the road, random problems pop up that could've been easily caught and you have to waste time and money getting them fixed.

Or...

GM takes the extra time to double check every car and makes sure that each one is built properly to the best of their ability, and you get to drive your grandkids around in the same convertible you bought in 2011.

Make your choice.

Now that they know what the problem is, I'm sure they fixed it in the line so the ones that are at dealer locations now are vehicles produced with the correction already done. That's ok, I still know that my 'vert was built before theirs lol!!!
