Brendan, after waiting a long time for 1 7/8" Kooks headers, I made the change to stepped headers plus added Jet Hot coating. I got the headers in a few weeks. Thanks. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for the high flow cats I ordered in July. When do you think I will be getting the cats?

Every Forum out there has the same feedback, stick with the real honest vendors JDP, RDP ,Juiced and the many other great companies out there and avoid Maryland Speed at all costs!!!

I'm in the same exact position! Got my stepped headers, but still waiting on my cats and it's been almost 2.5 months. I don't understand what the hold up is.

P.S. I'm not going to put down Maryland Speed because I want to give them the benefit of a doubt and I knew it takes a while to get headers, but it would be nice to get a 'real' update and a true reason why we haven't received our cats yet. I'm sure 98% of us would actually be more patient and be completely understanding about it if they were honest about why there is a hold-up, or a delay. After finding and reading this thread, it does make me feel a little bit better that I'm not the only one waiting on my cats. I expected my stepped headers to take a while since they are custom made and then are being shipped to be coated, but it's hard to be patient when no real reason is given, and then we are given a run-around. After taking our money, have some respect for your customers and let them know what's going on. They will return that respect back in these kinds of situations...end of rant!

On a bright side...take a look at this beauty!

This is another reason why I enjoy the Camaro Forum. I have been contemplating a new exhaust. Saw Maryland Speed had one of the best prices and some fantastic discounts.....

After reading the "many" complaints as well as all the BBB complaints I have decided I will go else where.

It appears their problems exist with rotors, exhaust, clutches as well as other items. Report of "EXTREMELY" poor customer relations. There were problems with this same company on the Mustang Forum.

Why are companies with such poor ratings allowed to advertise on the Forum? More that that... why do individuals continue to patronize this so called business.

Sorry if I sound so darn negative but after your read so many complaints, consistent lies and so many charge backs you start to wonder if every one is like this.

They pay for their right to be a sponsor, so Camaro5 allows it. As nice and helpful as that is to C5, at some point you have to consider if the good outweighs the bad of letting your members get the shaft constantly. Then again there is the feedback section for a reason. MS can pay C5 all they want, it's up to them to do right by their customers and provide a good experience that keeps them coming back as well as the customer to research the company they are buying from

I don't get how you people read there is long waits for parts from them, but buy anyway and then complain you had to wait?

How you get the discount is they order in large bulk.

So when you order, they wait for X amount of orders, for say, Kooks stuff, to get the cheapest price possible and then they pass that saving on to you.

They're not ripping anyone off.

They're saving you money if you are patient/have the time to wait.

They have a disclaimer on the wait times, so you should know this already before you order if you actually read it on the site and email they send out after you order.

If you do not have time to wait, do not order from them and pay more elsewhere to get the parts faster.

It's as simple as that.

I spent nearly $3k on my Kooks stuff from them and I got everything I ordered.

No body get's "the shaft". Frankly I am tired of people insinuating we scam, steal, or rip people off. It is plain slander.

Orders go down one of a few ways...

1.) You tell us you need an order by a certain day. We charge accordingly (less discount), and we meet the agreement. This never happens really because time does not become an issue till after purchase.

2.) You come to us wanting the absolute best price. You do that, but you also agree to no promised delivery times. This is in the terms, the invoice, and even our signature.

Most people pick #2, and the leads to one of the following...
  • You wait for your stuff as agreed, and your order is filled.
  • You take the discount, then decide you don't want to wait. Or you read one of the half true posts here, and decide you don't want to be that person. Then because we normally don't cancel, you turn the screws on us with forum posts, constant calling, BBB complaints and so forth until the order is filled.
  • You file a dispute, while pushing us to fill your order. This is actually fraud on the customers part and we fight them win. But it ties up delivery and the money for up to 60 days. I am not sending you thousands of dollars in parts without being paid.
  • Lastly in isolated instances where the order is taking too long, or cannot be filled, we refund the customer.
IN NO WAY are we stealing or ripping people off. You are not in business 15 years if you do this. The only real fraud is on the customers part when they decide to try and get out of the wait agreed to by filling a cc dispute.
