2014 Camaro Questions

So I recently purchased my RS Camaro from the dealer a few weeks ago and am looking to purchase some ground effects for my car. I have called the dealer and they haven't been very helpful. They don't answer answer my questions and insist I have to buy the entire gm kit before I can even see what it looks like. I can't find any place to buy aftermarket parts for the new body style either. Do you guys know if I purchase the 1LE splitter from a 12'-13' model year will it fit to my car? What about the same year zl1 Rockers?

The sheet metal of the 2014+ redesig has unchanged from 2010-2013 so any of the rockers/side skirts will fit.

I can't speak on the 2013 splitter fitting on a 2014..id imagine it wouldnt but since the cars are so similar im sure you could MAKE one fit with a little trimming if it doesnt right away.

With that said, why not just get a 2014 1le splitter? Are the lower half of the front fascia of the new V6 cars different just like the 2010-2013 V6 cars compared to the SS counterpart?

I know on 10-13 SS's, the lower portion of the fascia has a built in "lip" that protrudes outward where-as the RS/V6 cars are just straight downward without that "lip". This would stop anyone from putting the 1LE splitter on a NON SS without doing a SS/Mailslot bumper conversion as the splitter would look out of alignment and be way out of place looking.

Good to know about the rockers.

About the splitters, I am not 100% sure, but I am pretty confident to say yes. I don't know what exactly is different between the trims, The available options are different when you switch trims from LT to SS on the dealers website. Also my dealer doesn't let you just order the splitter. You have to order the entire package (Splitter, rocker,Diffuser, Tips, etc) pay for it in advance without even previewing. I have called and emailed the parts department multiple times and they haven't been very helpful. Either they say they don't know, or the don't want to tell me. Do you know where I can order an aftermarket 2014 splitter? Any Idea what I would have to do to make it fit?

The 2014 front bumper had changed enough so as to not allow 2013 attachments to it.

A 2014 1LE splitter, 2014 ZL1 quad diffuser, and the ZL1 rockers are the only pieces that will work. That is why Chevy discontinued the GFX kit for the 2014's.

Where can I order these parts? I get the feeling there isn't much available because its a new bodystyle. I have searched the web for a while. The Chevy dealer here in town tells me I cannot order these parts individually.

The dealer's name doesn't happen to be Pelosi, does it?

I think he was yanking your crank! I think he got a little jab at ObamaCare in there.

As has already been stated, the ZL1 rockers should work fine. For the '10-'13 there was 2 different front splitters, one for the SS and one for the V6. I think the V6 one was developed for the Dusk/Hot Wheels editions, which were both available in V6 versions. If the '14 1LE or the '10-13 SS/V6 one's won't fit, you're going to have to wait for GM or the aftermarket to come up with something new. As popular as these cars are, I'd say it won't take the aftermarket long.

I just noticed that the 2014 Chevrolet Performance Parts Catalog has ground effects kits for 2014 V6 and V8 Camaros. There's part numbers for V6s, V8s, with and without NPP, and all the various colors. If you want to see what they look like, get a copy of the catalog, or look it up online.
