I was thinking similar. But figured it was a forgone conclusion.

Personally I plan to get an ACS hood early next year. Look into there manufacturing process it's OEM caliber.

Suncoast creations said they will not warranty my hood.it has a 3 year warranty but it has been 3 years and 9 months since it was purchased.

Nope! Has happened before on the 4th gen aftermarket hoods. When I modded my 4th gen I bought a SLP hood cause some of the other ones at that time were delaminating.

Also it was the only one to have been crash tested like the OEM's.

Didn't SLP provide the 4th gen SS hoods to GM? I think they actually built the SS 4th gens for the first couple years they were sold didn't they?

Yes they did, which is why they had to crash test them to meet OEM standards.

Yes packing tape. I ended up repairing it with some 3m panel bond.

Good God, that packing tape is pretty likely to rip your paint up. Get that off of there ASAP and use Painter's Tape. Blue stuff from 3M.
