Cool Search failed me. Convertible. When?

I tried searching for it but I might as well be searching for the word Camaro Does anyone know when the convertible will become available to order and which trims it will be on?

Is this being announced at SEMA by chance? I'm going to order one for my wife.

According to Motor Trend, launch is Q2 of 2011. I suspect you'll be able to order late 2010.

According to 80zedder who works in Oshawa, the Camaro line is being taken down in January to add the convert line so the vert should be order-able shortly after.

I read vert is spring 2010 and Z28 is spring 2011.

Well considering the Z28 is not a car right now, I wouldn't trust where you read that.

Convertible has been announced with timing.

Would he really post it if it wasn't happening for over another year?

the higher ups (Scott or Ed) said jan/feb of 2011, which means ordering would be around September of 2010.

Lots of conflicting information here. I am no closer to knowing than I was. lol My wife wants a Camaro. She'd LIKE a convertible but I doubt she'll wait a year and a half to get it.

Conflicting because nothing has been "officially" released yet. Even the best guys on this forum have no final answer. For the convertible I've heard a lot of early 2011 availability, so probably best answer for that.
