I had a 2009 Mazda MX-5, best driving car ever... until I realized it was the seat making my back sore everyday. Bummer.

I took it in and had done some routine maintenance on it including a fuel filter and then it started acting up. For years you touched the starter and it was running but after I changed the battery and the routine maintenance something happened to it. I had to crank it longer before starting. Mechanic put in a fuel pressure regulator because he pulled off the line that was attached and fuel was present, worked good for about 1 to 2 weeks and then back to hard starting. Changed fuel pump because mechanic hooked up and tested the fuel pressure and it wasn't hold pressure, again worked good for 1 to 2 weeks and it was back to hard starting. One day at work I fired it up heard a noise or thought I did, shut it off and then it wouldn't start. That ended the Monte. I enjoyed that car but when it started giving me problems it had to go and I am glad I made that decision.

Dean.

We must think alike because I have been looking for a used Wrangler for a winter vehicle but used ones up north here are way over priced. Been looking for a pickup also but same thing.
You say you changed the battery in that Monte? Ha Ha! I bet you had fun! I changed the battery too.....what a nightmare! Just about had to remove the whole dang engine to get the battery out! I even had to remove the wheel in order to access the oil filter.
And the torque steer in that car was downright scary especily with the supercharger, if you punch it on an attempt to pass someone you had better be hanging on the steering wheel and be prepared for the car to get a mind of its own and go where IT wants! I just about wrecked the frigging thing several times. With the Camaro I pass wth confidence AND with a lot more power than that Monte had.
I did like everything else about that car thpugh, it was a comfortable car with lots of room

I was driving a 1998 Honda Civic with 175,000 miles on it. Then, my step-sister totaled that, so then I drove a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner with 250,000 miles on it! I still drive it whenever I need to take a lot of stuff with me, or whenever I take the dirt bikes to the track
