I also have an ashen gray, currently I have all the chrome blacked out with plasti dip giving it a matte black look. I've been been pretty much sticking to that. I've been contemplating adding some red but can't bring myself to take the plunge. Carbon fiber also seems to be a good do to, not much color but gives a good look.
