Am I doing it wrong? CAI intake touching upper rad hose.

A while back I installed a CAI cai intake on the ZL1. It looks great and it sounds great, but one thing that bugs me a little is that the intake tube is so fat, it crams up around the wire bundle that routes near the upper radiator hose. I mounted it using CAI's instructions to a T.

I'm thinking it's definitely not a good thing to have the heat from the hose transferring over to the intake tube, effectively negating what you are trying to guard against.

It may be negligible, I'm not sure, but it doesn't make sense to have a heat source so close to the metal transition tube. I'm I worrying for nothing? Car doesn't seem to mind as it pulls strong.

Honestly, the way it mounts, I can't see any other way around this as there just isn't any room. I tried wiggling the silicone tube slightly, and trying to reposition the filter to gain room, but the way the box mounts it, it might give me a 1mm clearance gain at best.

Am I overthinking this? (First world problems ya know) *pics will be added later*

The MAF cable goes behind the tube. I made the same mistake when I first installed mine. Look at some of the pics in this thread starting around post 80.
