Its a GREAT time to be a gear head!!!
Jim Boburka (N/A 427 car) ran a 9.40 FLAT last night @ 141 lifting ... do the math, he just made all the Challenger guys put thier tail between thier legs

That was awesome. I can't believe that was a factory car.

There's nothing like seeing an 8 second car run live at the track though. You can feel the pressure wave hit you a bit if you are close on the fence when it launches. It's nuts.

That COPO must be very well engineered too. Most cars that are this fast lift significantly off the ground and have some body flex (at least that I've seen during my times at Byron).

Just curious what you have done. I know the car has been to the track three times now. What have you found?

They arent 60 footin yet. Wait ... we are just tickling our wheelie bar now and going 1.29 60fts. Once we get it geared properly, it will hang the hoops and you will see the ETs drop considerably and catch up to the MPH.

That was a great run and I too can't wait to see a full pedal-to-the-metal run. I was curious what NHRA class this car will run in and what the records are in that class. Same with the other COPOs...anyone know?
