i think the hyundai they tested was closer to the price of the SS than the price of the 2lt...........even then the Lt was extremely close in time.

are magazines just reusing the times they achieved the first time? if so thats hardly fair
Thanks. I guess I missed that part. And when edmunds does these quick tests, they 'bench race' like we do so they're old numbers, different tracks, different days, different conditions. But it makes quick comparisons easier.

he was reffering to the level of prestige that the hyundia name carries with it.

I'm a bit wary of hyundai, thier cars used to be shit. The only thing worth considering the Genesis coupe for is the 2.0T and the rwd. From what I understand, the block is the only thing that's shared between this motor and the one in the mitsu. The internals are all hyundai. If that's true, bleh! Camaro has far better looks in the exterior department. the interior is what has me the most concerned before I decide if I want one.
V6 to V6 I'd give it to the camaro as far as modifying ability goes, the 3.6 in the chevy has WAY more potential.

Yep, Hyundais were bad 15-20 years ago. Guess what? Chevy's weren't too much better at the time. In fact, its GM's reputation of poor reliability that has turned a lot of buyers away. So we aren't really in much a position to dismiss hyundai because they built poor quality cars when GM's track record is hardly any better.

ohh, okay, i wasnt sure.

so i went a dodge/hyundai dealership saturday...
and their salesmen know nothing, they had like 6 challengers and 4 genesis coupes sitting on the lot...i asked if they had one with a track pack. he promptly said yes, and took me to a white 3.8. he looked into the window, and confirmed it was a track pack after looking for about 20 seconds. i glanced down at the brakes, it had single piston silver brakes.
fail.

I don't know, the 3.8 is a little bigger and I've heard rumors of around 35-40hp from just I/H/E already. Plus the gen has a couple hundred pound in weight advantage. Only time will tell for the 3.6 and we see some dynos...

Dont trust dealers. Did it have the spoiler on the back? If not, its not the track. Track has 4 piston front and rear.
