Sounds like you didn't know much about Royal Purple when you changed your oil. Why did you choose Royal Purple?

I'm going with Walmart Brand 5w-30

I use MAG 1 Full Synthetic Motor Oil (with FMX)

I use Lucas synthetic. BTW I use Lucas because I get a good deal on it, or Mobil 1 depending on what the vehicle is.

Just did my first oil change at 975 miles, no need the stuff looked brand new and the filter was clean, they must be putting these engines together pretty clean.

Mobil 1 so far. I may change to Amsoil at the second oil change. Still undecided. Mobil 1 oil and Purolator Pure One oil filters have been my #1 for the past 7 years, no complaints. I need to correct this, my Duramax pick up is running Mobil Delvac 1300 with GM filter.

Dont have my Camaro yet, but it will have AMSOIL in it when I change the oil. I ran the Mobil 1 synthetic for a long time and then switched to amsoil. As soon as I cranked the engine, it idled lower and smoother, it runs cooler and I get 1-2 mpg better in my current vehicle.

I've used Royal Purple in my some other cars, and those cars have always seemed to burn a lot more oil than when running Mobil 1. Specifially my '07 Civic SI... which is thankfully gone now.

Mobil 1 is the way to go!
