Camaro Speedometer

hi guys
i need small info rgrding camaro
i bought V6 US
speedometer has max reading of 160 irrespective whether i select kms or miles as units
question is when i choose kms whether the reading shows kmph or it shows mph?
if its kmph whether the max speed in car is 160kmph?

From the manual,

Unit
Move the thumbwheel up or down to
switch between US or Metric when
the Unit display is active. Press
SET/CLR to confirm the setting.
This will change the displays on the
cluster and DIC to either English
(US) or metric measurements.

i can change over easily drom km to miles. while driving at constant speed i changed the units and the speedometer reading dropped by a correct ratio (km/miles=1.6)
but the concern is max speed, is it foing to be max at 160 kmph or the speedometer will not read the speed above 160 kmph

The mechanical needle can only go to what is printed on the cluster which would be 160 because the numbers stay the same between mph and kph. But any other speed indicator like the digital display would show the actual speed well beyond 160 kph
