Great Job! It does look MUCH better without the plate! Worth any amount of tickets you may get

It certainly isn't as bad as the Solstice with front plates, and I didn't think I'd have a problem with a front plate installed, but it does look very nice without. My father the law enforcement guy would not approve...

I've already participated in a petition with my state representative to get Ohio's front plate requirement repealed. We'll see how far it goes, but I'm going to stick with it untill there's nothing left to stick with.
Front plates do not improve public safety, nor does the lack of one hinder public safety. |

Up until I bought this "winter" Impala a couple months ago, I haven't had a front plate on my vehicles since 1994 here in NY. 94 Z28, 96 Z28, 04 GTO. I never ended up with a ticket, got pulled over only once for a warning, and asked twice with the 96 where it was. One time was at a DWI checkpoint (that's an entirely different thread... - no, I wasn't, I just think they're unconstitutional) and the other time was at the Rainbow Bridge customs coming back from Canada into the US.
The truth I told both officers, the Sheriff and the Customs officer, "It's nailed up above the bar at the Buffalo Hooters." That was the truth- I had no use for the front plate since there wasn't a bracket on the car for it anyways. I was out front of Hooters one day with one of the assistant managers and I had happened to back into one the spots in front of the front door. Long story short- he said he wanted one of my plates for the bar- there were many others there already. He thought it was cool- I did too after thinking about it- to have a TRiM plate above the bar at the hostess station... Just a little nostalgia from a time now long gone (along with that plate when they closed)... |
