Putting car on ramp

Just curious as to what other are using to get their car on ramps. I know my experience was not favorable. Car is to low, I tried using some 2x12's, patio stones etc, too get the car a little higher so as not to hit the ramp with the front valance.

I ended up not using the ramps and just fabing up several 2x12 staggered like stairs and nailed together.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA,
Mike

Go to Oreilly's Auto parts and buy a set of 17 degree incline plastic ramps that support 12,00 lbs. They work perfectly for the Camaro.

$49.95.

I have some metal ramps with nylon extensions that I bought for my C3 Vette. They worked fine on the new Camaro. You can check with C3 Vette parts vendors.

Is 6 or 8 inches enough room to get under the car?

Mine are 8" high and that is plenty of room! I've done oil changes as well as the Hurst shift & Skip-Shift eliminator install with NO issues!
