So I'll jump in this thread and ask. Today I was driving down a back road following some cars at about 55. At one point they slowed and I set my foot on the brake to let the guy behind me know what was up. I basically pressed the pedal a half inch and there was a squealling noise. It isn't really loud, I had to turn the radio off and put the window down to hear it. It disappears with slightly more pressure.

I have the caliper weights. So I guess I want to confirm that this is most likely the 'normal' squeal from these high performance brakes.

I have brembos on my wifes car and never noticed a noise. Strand they look the same but don't act it.

I've had brake sueal since about 3000 miles, I now have 6600. I work at a Chevrolet dealership and they are telling me there is nothing they can do. It's so bad, l may sell it.

I was under the impression that performance brakes tend to have a little noise every so often if you're driving it like a normal car...

Mine make a little noise every once in a while, but that just reminds me to get back to driving hard

This.

Due to the composition of the high performance Brembo pads, there will be some noise. If you search the site, there are solutions out there to fix the sound. However, it is completely normal.

MY NOISE IS NOT JUST A LITTLE NOISE, IF SO I COULD LIVE WITH IT. IT IS EXTREMELY LOUD AND SOUNDS LIKE IT IS METAL ON METAL. DEALERSHIP HAS TRIED THE STOP SQUEAL LUBRICANT BUT IT DIDN'T LAST A DAY. THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS NORMAL EVEN FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE BRAKES.
