Just picked the car up. The new peice looks alot better than the old one. Lets just hope it is really fixed!

Newbe here. I was cleaning the dash of my car and noticed the bubbling everyone has posted. Thanks to all. I'll have a little amoe when I at the dealer tomorrow for another issue concerning the convertible top seal! Ours is a 2012 we bought on new years day.

Do you have a part number? My dealer ordered a whole new dash. Im not really interested in 2 days work.

You do not need a dash replacement!! you only need the leather insert peice, which can be changed without removing the dash. have them look up PIC5718C

My replacement insert from last year had bubbled above the radio, but it was pretty uniform so I was going to leave it alone unless it got worse.

Now it's getting worse. I'm seeing a bubble at the upper right corner where it curves down around the radio. Guess it's replacement number 2 coming soon.

Was there ever a TSB issued for this, or are they replacing the insert with the same part as before (hopefully with better glue from the manufacturer)?

Yes. I believe they came out with a fixed replacement. Not sure if there's a TSB but there's something on it. Its shown somewhere earlier in this thread.

Looks like this is also a problem on the 2013's.

I got my car about three weeks ago and I have bubbles in the same place.
The hard clear plastic strips right under the top of the dash are also coming off.

Talked to the dealership today. They are ordering new pieces and are fixing it under warranty without any hassle.

Waiting on the dealer to get mine in, they ordered it Monday, might be time to find a new one if I don't hear from them to make a appointment this week.
