Maybe you can go to traffic school? I did and it kept it off my record and away from the Insurance man. That's in TN

geeeez, its only 23 mph over....here in Texas you could just go to an 8 hr defencive driving class and get it taken care of, you can even do it ON-LINE! my grand daughter just did that....it still cost ya about $80 depending wehre you are at, but its better than a ticket on your record, and cheeper than the tickets fine.

man you lucked out!

I had a similar thing happen to me... i wasn't paying attention to my speed and i happend to look up and lo and be hold i see the CHP... i let off the gas and he started to slow down.. i just pulled over, he flipped a "U" and pulled up behind me. when i saw him i was doing well over 90. he said he clocked me at 75 (obviously his radar was off.. lol) anyway he ended up giving me a ticket for 10 over. in CA if you get a ticket for 10 or less over you can go to traffic school, its wiped off your record and no insurance increase... i learned later that if he wanted to, he could have had my car towed, me arrested, and caused me a whole lot of trouble (which would have been totally my fault)

i'm thinking being a cute girlie with an equally awesome license plate helped! the Officer laughed at my plate and said he liked it. after he handed me my ticket i said "thanks officer"

Same thing happened to me in a 83 subaru station wagon "beater with a heater". Being a female helped too, I'm sure. Going downhill on the highway, 11 pm, looked down at my speedo, over 80 "crap" sez me, and I start to slow down. The WSP going the other way flipped a U, I just pulled over and waited.
Him: "Do you know how fast you were going"
Me: Yeah, I was going over 80, I couldn't believe it!! I didn't think this thing would go that fast. But I WAS slowing down, I caught myself, sorry...
Him after checking out my ID, (airport security badge w/license & ins): "No ticket this time.
Me: Oh, thank you!
Him: Well you have a nice night and just try keep this speed demon under 80". I like your bumper sticker...
Bumper sticker: "keep honking I'm reloading".

Had I been in the Camaro I doubt I would be so lucky.

Never had the urge to do triple digits on a public roadway...yea, I have done my share of take offs and 75 in a 55, but 100 in a 55?...that urge can be filled on a track very, very easily.

However, respect to the OP who has taken responsibility for his actions and is not bashing the cop..

Congrats

You need to limit that 100 mph. stuff to a stretch of road you just passed and then turn around and hammer it. 100 in 55 is pretty risky for cops and deer.
