Was that just an old piece of rubber hose or did you find some rubber grommet and place it on the edge?

I have a roll of edge trim that I got from Trim-Loc several years ago for a different project.

If you want a enough to do your intake I would be happy to mail it to you.

I appreciate the gesture, I just need to get off my butt and stop at O'Reilly's or Autozone and grab a few feet of it. I'm fairly sure my wife is getting me some goodies for X-mas and birthday, so I'll have to take out my intake soon, so I'll have to get some of this for when it comes out. Good idea though, I was thinking the same thing, just never got around to getting some. Hope you enjoy it too, the sound of adding this alone is worth it to me.

Welcome to the ZL1 family, nice car. I would like to suggest that you take the ground wire straight down to the frame. There is a hole already in a perfect spot to place the wire. This is what I did with my ground wire. Good luck with the mods for x-mas.
