Ok so my 2014 ss m6 has had a tune but i dont know if he changed the low octane tables?? And ive read quite a few pages of this post and still not sure if doing a fuse pull will help my car? Does any one have a final answer and why it does or does not work on a tuned car? Thanks for the help.

It will depend on your tuner I would say. Apparently some copy the high octane tables over the low octane ones which would likely make the fuse pull useless . However, my tuner Dynosteve doesn't do that in case the car gets bad or the wrong gas which I think is a lot smarter.... There is still a low octane table to allow for knock retard on mine.

So if he tuned your car you can pull the fuses as it will likely wake it up otherwise ask your tuner what he did with your octane tables.

So those of us with a DynoSteve tune can still benefit from a fuse pull now and then?

Wish I would have known this months ago.

I think so although he seems to say let the car re-learn on its own moreso.

Here is quote from Steve "a fuse pull resets the short and long term adaptives and it would depend on the situation that the vehicle has been in, you can certainly remote (spelling mistake I think- remove?) the fuse but the vehicle is going to have to learn everything again"

I tried the fuse pull with my LS3 over night and let me tell you a huge difference in response and the sluggish behavior is now a distant memory.

Did this yesterday for 4 hours. Now the sluggish dead starts are gone. Dealer was putting in 87, so I filled it with 92 octane. Drove that to a 1/4 tank, then filled it again with 92. This is when I did the fuse pull. Drove her to the airport this morning to drop off the wife, I couldn't stop smiling. Of course being free to drink beer all week may have contributed.

Just did this. Idle seems better and the motor is definitely more responsive. I'll probably do it every spring when I pull her out of storage.

Anyone done this on LS3 with E-force supercharge system?

Hi - new to this forum.
I have a 2011 2SS/RS convertible with edelbrock e-for e super charge system.
Is this safe to to do the fuse pull without screwing up anything else with the tune?

Can someone explain how a fuse pull is different than disconnecting the battery?

Both accomplish the same thing. But access to the fuse box is easier and you don't loose memory from other electronics in the car.

There is a battery backup from what I understand to the ECU.

I have since just unplugged the ECU harnesses when I need to reset. Easier and more thorough.

I actually managed to actually f*k this up. Pulled fuse #2- TCM(15A) instead of #5 that was right next to it... pulled completely out, and put it right back in 2 sec after I realized I pulled wrong one... anything to worry about? Cranked car and no codes, kind of worried about the dyno tune, etc now.
