JIMMY JOHNSON CHEVY / SAN DIEGO / IS IT JUST ME?

Is it just me? Has anyone else dealt with Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet in San Diego and pretty much been blown off?
The sales staff is very knowlegeable but when it comes time for them to return calls or emails it just doesn't happen.
It took 3 weeks for me to get a quote via email (I am deployed and must negotiate by email) and once I got the "quote" it was simply the MSRP printout. I asked for selling price and got nothing back.
There are a couple other San Diego dealers that actually are acting is if they want my business. I've actually got the best sales info/service from C5 forum sponsors 2,000 miles away (Becky).
It's a sad day when I may have to ship a car in becuase of poor sales service locally.
(there are 2 San Diego dealers that are providing pretty good quotes so at least there is still a chance of helping my local economy.)

I work for Chevy and know the guy who runs Jimmie Johnson Chevrolet. He's one of my best friends and would not be pleased that his sales staff has not been taking care of you. He's making a lot of staff changes as he finds out about issues like this. PM me your contact info and I will make sure he is aware and gets you the answers you need.

courtesy delivery is an option.
If I go with that I'd have it delivered to El Paso (closest Texas city to me) so I can take advantage of the low TX sales tax (compared to CA). I am legally a TX resident.
So, it's not out of the question yet.

I dealt with Becky--courtesy delivery to IL. It was just as easy as buying a car locally.

I bought my Camaro at Jimmie Johnson last May, I had a good experience with them. I dealt with Tanya Charles, she was very responsive with my calls or e-mail's. Every time I called on the status of my order she would find out and call me back the same day. High praise from me.

I just tried working with them and Courtesy Chevrolet over emails... both were horrible.

JJ only sent me the MSRP quote, so I said they'd have to do better than that to earn my business. So she said she "talked with her manager" and can give me $250 off MSRP. I did the math, on a 2ss/rs, that comes out to a whopping .7% discount... sweet!
The most they would go (after informing them that other places are offering $500 over invoice) is $750 over invoice, but the quote provided was for about $30 under MSRP. Either they're not paying ANY attention to what they're doing (which makes me not want to deal with them), or they're intentionally trying to rip me off (which makes me not want to deal with them).

Courtesy Chevy offered a good price, but when I asked for the actual quote, and that I was ready to come in and put money down... I got zero response. Two days later, I asked for an update and the quote... again nothing.

I finally walked into Bob Stall Chevrolet in La Mesa. Not only were they willing to match the price I was "quoted" by Courtesy, they ALMOST had it in stock for me. They already have a good number of 2011's available and ready to go, they just didn't have the exact color combo I wanted.

Not trying to steer anyone away from Becky or Scotty, I hear they're wonderful to work with! I'd highly recommend Bob Stall though if anyone is in the area.

Bob Stall happens to be one of the 2 that have been most helpful thus far.

I was finally contacted by J.Johnson Chevy. I'm waiting on a quote, (other than MSRP), from them now. Maybe they saw this thread?

I can tell you Bob Stall Chevy has provided another fairly good quote, (I added GFX so I had to get new quote), while I am still waiting for quotes from Ron Baker, Weseloh, and Jimmie Johnson. I'm in no rush, however, it does say something about a dealership that is helpful in a timely manner. (I know most of them have C5 accounts so........)
