Well I Reserved A ZL1 Today! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

well after much debate I decided on a ZL1 over a '12 Vert SS. So, today i went to my dealer and reserved the first ZL1 they are getting with a $500 deposit. They already asked me what colors and options i think I may want depending on what is available. So here it goes!

Barring any colors added to the 2012 ZL1 that are different than the regular line-up:

- I went with Rally Yellow. Rally Yellow is just to safe, because it goes with black perfectly, and yet is eye catching versus darker or lighter colors that also look nice with black.

- Polished Wheels

- 6 Speed Manual

- Suede Interior Accent Upgrade

- Haven't Decided On Stripe or Sunroof, leaning towards Stripe.

Are the polished wheels standard...or are the black finished wheels standard?

Black SSX wheels are standard. Polished will be an option.

Congrats. IMHO from what we have seen yours will be rare as the yellow is not a "popular" pick. Add that along with the suede and polished rims....
Id say yours would be if not rare then at least unique. Keep us posted!

Where are you getting your info from. I have yet to see any info on what is an option and what is standard. I would THINK that the polished would be standard and the black would be an optional light weight race wheel.

the options are what is projected as per rumors and info to the public. and i did not pay any money besides my deposit. now we agreed on a nickel over invoice.

Scott announced at the Frederic, Maryland camaro show that the SSX
rims would be the standard rims for the ZL1.

I'm just wondering how much extra the polished rims will be costing, since
that's my first choice.

It was stated that ZL1 pricing would be released in mid November, therefore, the price of the polished rims (which are my first choice also) probably won't be publicly announced until that time.
