I'm old and I drive an HHR SS so.....

And a little trivia before anybody rips on the Cobalt SS or the HHR SS. The 2.0L Eco-Tec Turbo that these have in them are the highest horsepower per liter engine that GM has ever put in a production car. Even more than the ZR1. 130hp per liter. So stick that in your oven!!

Blue Cobalt SS' for the win! Go Johnny go! I used to own a Blue Cobalt SS Supercharged, and it was a blast! I still miss that car.

I read somewhere that someone boosted one to an insane amount without blowing the engine(internals were not touched)...Need to do some searching.

That may have been it, I don't remember the name, all I can remember is that it made tons of power...they got the zzp HP to over 500hp.

Found a link.

Make sure you tell him to take it to a dealership ASAP.

Wouldn't want it to burn down to the ground

Only if he bought his cobalt in 2007 or 06, and from Arizona, California, Texas, Florida and Nevada. Since Johns is a new 09 Turbo, he has no worries. Reading & listening > you

Man, someone wants to have a little bit of fun without knocking anyone elses car. My only point was this guy was responsible for almost every kick-ass Chevy over the last 10 years (z06, CTS-V, etc). He's got multiple SCCA titles and has raced in GT3 competition. A couple of class records at the ring. You know, little stuff like that. He's surely could have picked up any GM ride he wanted for his personal ride...and he drives a Cobalt SS. Then someone has to throw out some non-relevant recall and compare a challenger to a tractor.
