I've used Mobil 1 extended service 5w30 for years. The detergent package is supposedly better.

I think the Mobil 1 extended life is a "true" synthetic also. It did much better then just about anything in some oil analysis I remember reading

Royal purple, front to rear! This is great oil and you should run a filter designed for synthetic oil no matter which brand of oil you choose. I use the Penzoill platinum filter.

Personally I use the Mobil 1 but any synthetic oil should be just about good they mostly have a bunch of detergents and stuff in them royal purple could be a good alternative although I'm not sold on it from personal experience from racing stock cars I used royal purple cost me two engines in one season as well as a friend of mine blew his up using the same so personally to me I've always stuck by mobil1

I use mobil 1 advance in my personal vehicles, but any quality oil especially in full synthetic you will be fine. I have gone through five different company suv's over my career using only base petroleum non synthetic oil changing oil every 5k miles, rough driving, long idle all conditions and still trade them out running fine with 290,000 to 300,000 miles on them and never had one engine torn down. These vehicles have been all three manufactures Chevy, Ford and Dodge. So I often wonder does all the different oil hypes make a difference after what I've experienced first hand on company issued vehicles?
