I hit a bear last night

First let me say I wasn't in the Camaro. Thank God because im thinking we would have been killed. I was driving a 1981 Chevy 4x4 with 3 inches of lift, and towing a trailor with a atv in the bed of the truck and on the trailor. We left the lake that we had been playing at all day about 8:45 last night and started home. A river on one side of us and a steep mountain on the other. The bear comes running up out of the river like something was chasing it (wolves other bear or something) right into the path of us. Luckily I didnt swerve or anything because we would have either rolled into the river or slammed into the mountain side on our right. I ended up hitting it square on with both the truck and the trailor. I know this isnt a camaro strory, but im still a bit freaked out about it. I have lived in Montana for 10 years and have not seen a bear in the wild until last night and i run over the thing.

thankfully with the lift on the truck, and the bear running it appears that the only damage is the allignment is way off , a broken shock mount and a bent bumper . i think i ran him ove with the tires more than anything.

the impact was actually minor. im thinking the 33 inch tires took most of the impact.

i thought about it but there was a guy there on a motorcycle that showed up a minute after it happened, and my luck if i loaded it up and drove home i would have been pulled over for a brake light or something and been arrested for poaching.
