Reasonable Price For This Car?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'll be turning 16 in March. I'm blessed to be able to say that I'll be getting a Camaro SS for my first car. I've tried to call multiple dealerships for their best prices. I like this car and think the price is agreeable but my mom doesn't think so. It's a 2010 for $24,500 with taxes and 34k miles, but I'd have to pay for a few more things like license plates bringing it up to about $26k. Tell me what you think!

I guess I'd say I don't know, what does Blue Book and NADA say in your area. And, never ever, I mean ever, pay asking price for a car. I don't have a magical number to offer. But there's always another car if this one doesn't work out.

It's not too high a mileage. It's up to you and your parents what you're mature enough to drive. I had a buddy in high school, and this is in the mid 90's that had a cherry '69 SS396 Chevelle. He never got a ticket or had incident because he drove responsibly. Another buddy drove his dad's garage kept, original '70 Grad Prix and it should have been a fast car, but he drove very maturely.

NADA said $26,200 which is what this will probably come out to.

You may want to go on line and see what the area market is for a 2010 SS.
Seems high for the amont of miles on it.
Check around before the money goes down on it.

Looking at the interior pictures you attached looks like the seats are pretty worn.
Is there a rip in the right side seat on the edge of the back?

Not sure what they used to clean the leather, but it looks like they need to use another detailer. IS it a 2SS which is what it appears to be If it was me no more than 24,500 OTD with everything included. you can find them with less mileage for cheaper JMHO good luck and drive it with the traction control on for awhile. Who gets to pay the insurance for a 16 yo probably as much as car payment a month. good luck

If the car has a Carfax check that out and see what turns up with that?
I looked at a car a few years ago and the dealer said it was a one owner car but I did my home work and turned out it was a 2 owner car.
Bottom line didn't buy the car after finding out more problems than the dealer was not telling me.

I just turned 18. Got my '11 2SS/RS in October. My first car was a 2012 jeep wrangler and I'm glad I started with it. These cars aren't very forgiving and can kill you fast. I think that price is a little high as I payed $25k for my loaded 2011 with 30k miles

Looks like a cool car. Low mileage. Price seems fair to me, others on this forum may know more than me. I would point out every flaw and offer $23,000.

I would recommend not saying much about your age lmfao the older people dont like it. im 17 and they've given me so much shit about having an ss. If your responsible and realize how much power this car has you will be fine. i dont get why they cant just answer the question you asked instead of crying about your age. i mean this site was created to help eachother out with our cars not put people down and tell us we dont deserve an ss. theyre never going to get over it so be prepared. its amazing how the "mature adults" start so many fights.
Back to your question
I got my 2010 2ss/rs with ~15,000miles for $25,000. so those prices might be a little high. dont rush into it and try to see if you can get the prices lower or find other camaros. goodluck

Good luck man, and congrats on the good grades to score a sweet ride like that. Would be better with a manual, but I can't say much. I bought an automatic for my wife.

It is a fair price for the car. Might try talking them down a little further if possible. After all it is winter and according to every dealer, these things are hard to sell in winter.

A couple quick words of advice, these things have AWFUL blind spots, be careful when changing lanes. Also, these things will get away from you as far as speed goes in a heartbeat. You'll be doing 100+ in no time if you aren't careful. Otherwise enjoy and be smart!

First post here... I am also turning 16 too and am am also blessed to say the same hopefully. I have been searching these thing constantly for the past month or so. That price seems about right if not a little bit high. Heres one in TX that has 17500 miles on it and looks like it has a new engine cover. I would offer the dealer 25000 out the door with no bs fees they charge you. Maybe even a little less. Good luck and don't be stupid.
