There is a guy that I used to work with who is dead serious when he says that his "Kraut-Rocket" 07 Jetta (Stock, non-wolfsburg) can beat my 2SS off the line,in the mid range,but says I might catch him on top end speed. I just listen to his endless gum flapping and wait for May to roll aroung when the snow is gone and streets are dry. We have a case of Hieneken on the line. I will let everyone know who wins (In case you dont already know)

Absolutely ridiculous.
The only way he could beat you (up to 60mph or so) is if you sit on the line spinning your tires (which is possible).

Just make sure you don't spin your tires and you'll leave him in the dust.

maybe he has the k&n drop in filter and zmax in his tank then its game over with the autozone shift knob he wont miss a gear! lol

I have gave him fair warning and time to think it through but he keep trying to explain power to weight like I am some kind of first grader. I keep listening to him because I always enjoy a good laugh and the more I laugh the more pissed he gets at me. I have looked under his hood and there is nothing there that suggests I should be worried. We will see in May.
