Put the ball in their court, they've done ALL the oil maintenance correct? Try it! You just might get lucky. The mouth that doesn't open NEVER gets fed.

Are we positive that the engine won't lift enough as is? |

I did not remove my pan but lowered it far enough to remove the inner baffle and access every inch of it. If need came to remove it you would have to remove the steering rack mounting bolts so it can be moved forward slightly and out of the way. If you have someone who can cut the cross member and weld the flanges in and would like to try it I will take some measurements and write some instructions. I may have an extra set of flanges already made if not I can do a set for you. My l99 pump gave out at 18000 miles pretty much stock except for intake and exhaust
Dealer swaped it under warranty I use kn oil filters and joe gibbs ls30 oil changed the oil couple days ago at 27000 miles found a lot of metal in the drain pan cut open the oil filter found some metal also showed the service writer he said it looked normal except now at hot idle oilpressure fluctuates between 20 and 28 psi so probably motor will betaking a dump soon
