2010 Camaro SS/2 misfired spark plugs are junk.

hello all,

Just wanna worn everyone of the crappy spark plugs put in a factory. My Camaro had to be picked up and towed to the dealer cause it wasnt wanting to run right. end up the spark plugs r crap from factory. They r known to break at the ceramic. Just wanna give a heads up to everyone that they might want to check there plugs or do what i am doing and buy better ones so i don't break down and hour away from home!

I can honestly say that you're the ONLY person that i've seen post about bad plugs from the factory. Many shops swear by the OEM plugs. Sometimes things happen. Bad engines, trannies, struts, etc. Doesn't mean they are shit parts, you just got a bad one.

Seems odd. Delco makes a fine plug.

The only time I have heard of spark plug failures is after a header swap with the spark plugs in. Bump them during install and they can crack.

I had a friend with a 94 Vette chase an issue for MONTHS that turned out to be a junk plug...but he didn't have headers on it, and they weren't AC Delco plugs by then either. Other than his car though...the ONLY time I've ever seen plug issues is like you said...if you bump one working on the exhaust manifolds/headers.

For what it's worth, at 30K my plugs all look great...I had them out sunday while I put my longtubes in...they looked perfectly fine, so I stuck them right back in the heads.

Cool

Any plug can crack... possibly the installers fault...

My name is Bolts, and I'm a AC-Delco plug user. Been using in all my GM products since 1990...never a problem. Though I'd like to have nickle for every Champion or NGK I have removed to fix a drivability problem. I'll leave them for the imports and bikes.
