Door defenders

I didn't want to thread jack the people suck thread. So here's my question, do any of you use them?

They're like mud guards to me. I'm sure they're useful but I don't think I'll ever use them on my car.

I was thinking about purchasing them but I'd be very pissed off after going through the trouble and some a**hole took them off to be spiteful.

IMO, those devices advertise the vehicle owner is fastidious about keeping the car undamaged. Exactly what you don't want to do with a thug bent on damaging your car.
Low profile it when parking in public, don't make your car stand out.

Like Jameslk55 said, they are basically rubber door guards to keep your car from getting dings.

Do they go horizontal with the door or are they the ones that go down the doors edge?

I wouldn't go with the door defenders but having Clear Bra on the doors paid for itself within 4 weeks of having the car. Inch and a half embedded verticle white paint once removed left no dent and impact mark can only be seen if pointed out.

Yep, I use one door defender on the drivers side. It's made of totally clear gel, so doesn't look too obtrusive. The reason i did it, was because I drive down a 9 foot wide alleyway to get into the yard at work, and I have to get out and open or close a gate. In the past I've had the wind catch a door and smash it straight into the wall, so a little lump of gel is a much better option than a dinged door.
