Help! Windshield cracked again

It"s just my luck the second time in 6 months my windshield in my 2010 Camaro recieved a dime or nickel size crack from a small rock pebble driving in the highway. I am pretty preturbed, the good thing was I had it replace for free thru allstate.

I am wondering if anyone know if there's a recall or manufacture defect on windshield being to weak or less dense to withstand a small pebble from cracking the windshield?

Since this is the second time, I don't have the out of pocket funds to replace the windshield right away. Anyone have any feed back to do it yourself type of fix?

Anyone know a professional company that can temporray fix a dime or nickel size crack?

Please let me know your constructive feedback is welcomed.

nothing is free...LOL....it is still counted as a claim....

allstate just saved themselves the cost of doing a full replacement.......windshield repair is cosmetic....not a "repair"....despite claims otherwise

full disclosure: I have been in the AGR business for 35 yrs as an owner

I've had mine for just a little over 3 months and have had to repair 5 dings already.

I discover some previous threads under archive in my profile about windshield cracked that was informative. I just needed to vent because my baby recieved dirt in its eye, and it's an eye sore. I will check out "Glass Doctor" for a temporary fix.

A Moment of Silence A Camaro Windshield Bites the Dust

KA-POW!! Happened yesterday in Mississippi the "flying loose rock capital" of the world. My thanks to the duelie towing the backhoe trailer full of pea gravel!!! Thanks for not sweeping your trailer Man! Doubt it can be fixed and I sure don't want to be the first Camaro fixed at the local glass shop. What a dilemma, I know how ya'll feel when you hear that "SNAP" sound!

being that small, after it's repaired, it should look like a dead bug... Allstate is a good insurance company and they should have an independent Prostar shop in the area they could refer you to

Thanks! I will try having it repaired. No telling how many more I will get, so no sense replacing the entire windshield yet.

The windshield is the weakest part of this car. I'll collect a few more chips to go along with the crack before I replace mine.
