Have no choice; where should I start?
I am on this section of the website because I have been MIA due to something that happened in March of '08. My wife's stick turned blue and so did my hopes of getting a 5th gen THIS year. So, to remedy my fixation for having a Camaro, my wife agreed to let me buy a 4th gen. However, it I must also get a minivan . So there is a guy selling a 98 T-top V6 within my price range. I would love to have a SS but I must let reality set in and cruise with a 3.8 V6 until I get a better paying gig or hit the lottery, whichever comes first.
So I know that I can put some mods on this car, but to be honest, I dont know where to start. Any suggestions folks? |

Well, there is the obvious, like exhaust and cold air. Then you could look at headers, rear end, cams, forged pistons, bores, forced induction, and NOS (if you want to go there). But most of that is going to run you more than $250 even doing it yourself. A good ECU tune also does well for pretty cheap. It all depends on what you want to get out of it.
Here are some websites for more info... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...9100952AAFps2w http://mods.firebird*******/ http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm P.S. By the way, what color did you find, just out of curiosity?

First, CONGRATULATIONS!
Second, in regards to the Camaro, first mod., BABY SEAT! After that, don't invest too much money. With a baby on the way, you'll have more important expenses. Save what you can and use it towards a down payment on a 5th Gen. in a year or two. CONGRATULATIONS!!! |

No problem.
Nothing yet. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do, but I'm about to get a new paint job, and some body work done on it, then come the mods.

Congrats on both your addition to your family and you're new baby out in the garage!
A firebird 3.8 is definitely high on my list if I end up not being able to afford the new camaro for some reason. That or a 87-92 G92 camaro. Those are getting hard to find, though. - Xanthos

if it's anything like what my nursing friends go through, you're in for one heck of a ride, especially with the new baby coming! much to you for not only being able to tackle both, but tackling both at the same time!

Oh, he is here already. He was 1 month premature and weighed 5lbs. 2 months later, he is 11 lbs. Yes, he is a whopper now! Future linebacker. But school is going to rough but I already have a degree, but it is not worth much. Hence forth me going back to school.
