Thank God Chevy made a V6 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Here goes my first post,

I really wanted an SS RS V8, I could only afford a LT V6 (in my mind it was like who the hell would want a V6). I also wanted Synergy Green, finding out that chevy had discontiuned the color of choice my time line for buying a car was moved way up.
I looked all over Washington State to find a Synergy Green Camaro V6 on cars.com. I had two options one with stripes, auto or one with corny chrome rims and a manual both new 2011. It took two days to figure out the auto vs manual debate. My wife helped out alot she reminded me of my left knee. The one that got me out of the USMC. I would hate for my knee to get much worse and not be able to drive my Camaro.
I purchased the no frill, steel stamped black rim Synergy Green Camaro with black stripes V6 and an Automatic. After Driving the car home alls I can say is thank you Chevy. That V6 albeit 310 HP was really a kick in the a** to drive. On the drive home I can't tell you how many people gave me the thumbs up. How many droids, Iphones and cameras I saw that day. No one told me that even the bare stock camaro would make me a rock star for a day. I thought that was only for the SS or RS crowd. Guess not no matter what 2010 - 2011 Camaro you own people really love the car.
My only gripe with the car is where they put the light switch. I could not find it during one of our million rain storms. Driving with no lights in a heavy down poor going 75 can make it tough. Also waiting 24 hours to use the OnStar Phone stuff. I really wanted to call Pres Obama and say look at me now. LOL..
In closing I would like to say I am very very proud owner of a Synergy Green V6 Automatic Camaro. Nick Name Mini Hulk. I cant wait until the 1500 mile break in is over. I am currently at mile 125 started at 15.

Congrats & welcome aboard. Thank you for your service. You will find that you are a rock star for more than a day. Virtually every day that I drive my V6 daily driver (usually multiple times a day) people crain their necks, turn their heads, take pics & ask me about my Camaro. That permagrin really is permanent.

And oh, by the way.........

Thank you everyone for the welcome. Now its time to read all the posts from other Camaro owners and get to work. I have fog lamps, exaust, rims tires, speed limiter (rid of), tint, and very last is a turbo. The turbo will be in like five years. I know I could of waited two years and purchased a V8 Camaro. I just didnt think the Synergy Green would be available brand new. So its off to work and Start taking pictures so I can add to this Great site.

I can tell for the last three days alls I can do is pinch my self. No other car has done that. Ive owned two 69 Chevelles and a 67 Camaro. Funny part the 67 Camaro came with a straight six and a manual. LOL... This car is no where near the 67 Camaro I had. Although I did build a 383 for that car in 1983 and sold it when I married (OUCH).

Hell yeah! The "Real" Synergy is where it's at. And no matter what anyone says, it is Not "just" a V6. It is badass no matter how many cylinders. Welcome and thanks for serving!
