Stock Gt's can come with 18's and 19's. Brembos just get 255/40/19 summer tires, where the rest of us get the crappy all season Pirelli's. Smaller diameter wheels can have the same effect as a gear swap. When I run my 18's with the DR on them it throws my speedo off by almost 10 mph. Don't know what the weight of the 19's are on the mustang. Mine definitely aren't light, but I can imagine they are lighter than the wider 20's on your cars.

Actually it doesn't just get off the line quicker, it also pulls harder and faster everywhere. But now I have the TSW 20x10 back in the rear with the Pirellis 295-35-20s and now the car feels like I have a whale in tow . Selling the 20" TSWs and going 19"s all the way.

Dude, look at the pic above, definitely not too much side wall. As much difference as you felt between the 20 and 19 inch wheels, you're gonna feel that much more going to an 18.

DUDE I am talking about road course purposes not drag racing. If you go to 18" you have to run a lower profile like SUX2BU Camaro. That's what I am talking about. I now have a 295-35-20 in the rear and there is a huge difference when compared to 18" with to high a profile tire as far as steering and handling response is concerned. Too much side wall flex. ALso I drove like 6 GTs so far and the 2013 GT runs the best by far. The 2013 GT have more pep and a bump in power over the 2011s didn't you know that. Why do you think Pedders runs a 305-30-19 tire with 30 vs a 40 or 45. Lower profile helps to maintain sharp handling and response. 18"s has less weight great for drag racing but autocross or road course that extra sidewall would leave our pig feeling even more piggish. Yes when I started this thread it seems I was only interested in acceleration but I should've mentioned that I was looking for overall performance which very much includes handling as well.

I'm going 19X10's with 305/30ZR19. The 2014 Z/28 uses that set up as well. I will prolly need 285's up front tho...

What brand 1910s, I am looking at Forgestar or maybe Forgeline for rear 19x10s or 10.5s, am even considering 18x10 f and 18x10.5 r with BF Goodrich Rivals
