I personally don’t think there will be many trim levels if any. There are few options and as Fbodfather said, the ZL1 basically comes fully loaded. Known options include sunroof, suede, stripe, automatic transmission, polished wheels and stripe (or stripe delete). There might be some surprises but that seems to be the general consensus.

Thats why I asked.

I didn't think there were going to be many options.

It sounds like its going to be similar to the GT500 and the Nissan GT-R

Basically, pick the color and a few other things, otherwise, here's what you get.

I could be wrong but I feel the following would be the case... keep in mind, 100% speculation:

1ZL... similar to the 1SS: cloth seats, no HUD (striped version)
2ZL... Similar to the 2SS: leather/heated seats, HUD (loaded version)
3ZL... same as 2ZL but with the alcantera seats like the Chicago Auto Show car.

Remember, GM loves their number nomenclature. 1-4LT on the Base Corvette, 1-4ZR on the ZR1... it just follows suit.

Other options would be minor... A6/M6... wheels... stripes... sunroof.

Maybe they won't do that and just load them all up but I feel that's a bad idea. I guess we will know soon enough.

After reading Fbodfather's quote directly above your post, you honestly think they'll offer the ZL1 in all the trim levels you describe? I surely don't, and I'm absolutely fine with that to be perfectly honest.

As Scott also recently posted, the ZL1 is not for everyone (but it sure as heck seems like it's perfect for me)

His post was super vague... Few option, most is standard. He's not going to lead on much... plus did you read my post? I said I could be wrong and it was 100% speculation... just like EVERYTHING else about this car right now.

True, but even though he is always vague and at times cryptic, I seem to have developed a very good handle on finding the correct "hidden message" he's trying to get across. I guess it's years of practice, but trust me on this one, I'm fluent in Fbodfather speak.

.

Welcome shockandawe

We don't know how much just yet. Estimates are anywhere from 50-60k, mostly in the 52-55 range.

Yes you can order before the price is set. Ordering begins on the 29th of October, as you probably saw at the beginning of this thread.

Whatever guys... I am done in the ZL1 area... most of you obviously are living in la-la land.

FACT... NO ONE PUBLICLY KNOWS JACK SHIT ABOUT THIS CAR... not options, not colors, not price, not availibility. We know a modded Camaro with race seats and a roll bar did the ring in 7:41... will the production one . Scott... yea he knows but hes not going to tell you ANYTHING or he'll lose his job. He gives you a worm on a hook then yanks your cheek.

Keep coming up with whatever you all want.... I spoke my opinion on the car... 3 trim levels. You don't think I am right... whatever, I didn't ask if you thought I was right, I gave my opinion.

Why do I think that way??? Because every freaking GM car in the last decade has had that nomenclature... Camaro, Cruze, Corvette... etc, etc, etc. why would this car be any different? If GM is loading everyone of them up... well thats just stupid and a mistake on their part. Maybe someone doesnt like leather or heated seats... maybe they dont want that alcantera everywhere... its a minor set of options that follows suit with the rest of the Camaro line...

I know, because FBodfather... who I respect and have met personally, and not just at mega car shows... says "very few options" now all of a sudden its gospel. Its a bait tactic, he does it ALL THE TIME and thats what keeps his posts interesting... always making you wonder...

We will all know in a few weeks... like I said, maybe I am wrong, frankly I don't care what the car has, I am not buying one... don't want one.
