Honestly, if your 60 get the car you want now. Not being a dick, but you don't know how much longer you'll be wanting to get in and out of a low car. My dad's 60, has always been healthy, but is now getting arthritis in his knees.
No it's cool. That is good advice. You are zeroing in on the secret to a happy life IMHO. Live in the moment. Just to amend that maxim a bit. Don't completely ignore the future.

To keep in shape I run 10 to 30 miles a week (weather limiting), hit the gym weight lifting, and love those hour spin classes. Every year it gets harder to stay where you are, but never give up. Getting in and out of a low car is no problem so far. But to your point I ruined my back in a motorcycle accident (my stupidity) and its all a matter of time according to the doctor.

You can buy a pretty nice house in South Jersey for $100K. Many politicians are on the take, taxes are high, the school systems stink, and many are out of work. It is very sad, but there are a number of abandoned houses and repo sales. And even some house squatting. When Wall Street sucked all the inflated equity out of our houses and put it in their pocket, they torched South Jersey. North Jersey, where those blood suckers live is a different story.

If you can afford it, and really want it, get it.

Take a step back, say thank you that this is even a problem (deciding between a camaro and a vette). Then do whatever would make you happiest.

It will be tough to ever find a time where buying a new car is actually the smart financial choice. It may only be applicable if repairs cost more than the car is worth ie a clunker, or a mpg thing do to extensive driving.

Go with the c7 z51 if you can. You need to see what the real numbers work out to with the dealer. They will rake you over the coals on your Camaro trade and the new vette is getting premium money right now. A year or 2 of driving the 1LE and saving some money may make more sense but at the same time you only live once.

The question to ask yourself is this, how is your back? If you have never had back problems and feel you could get in and out of a Vette as often as you drive your 1LE then get the Vette. If you have back problems the getting in and out of the Vette could be rough and you may then you may not enjoy the car.

You only live once on this earth my friend so if you can handle the above get the Vette.

Yeh also if you have back or knee problems it's not looking good either, I had to almost roll of out the car to get out Definitely sit in one first!

Trade the 1LE in to the dealer where I work. So I can buy your old dream car.
