Sorry, I wasn't quoting you. It's just what has been speculated on here. GM said it will be the top-tier Camaro and well, the ZL1 is around $60k, so speculation leads us to those numbers.

Look no company is perfect and GM certainly is not. History proves this for GM and many many companies.

That said, I defy anybody on this board to provide sound reason why GM has not only hit a home run with the Z/28 but completely hit it out of the park with the 5th Generation platform!

I grew up in the 70's and by the time I got my license the muscle ERA was over. What we have available to us as performance enthusiasts, right now, is as good as any time in history.

Happy to be a Chevy guy!

Curious to know the era when they both were raised I could be wrong but it seems those that were grew up in the era of the original Z/28 is happy and those they grew up with the 3-4th Gen are disappointed? Not saying its a complete bad thing but maybe we expected something else then what we have. Not taking anything away from what GM has done though so don't take that the wrong way. Hard to explain I guess.

Can you build a time machine for those who weren't around so we can witness this so called greatness? Im not being sarcastic either part of me is jealous that i wasnt around. Hmmm. That would be great idea for a commercial plot for the Z/28.

Either way, I'm sticking by the brand. So 30-40 years from now I can say the 2014 Z/28 is what started things back to the way it should have been.

You do realize that the car that was unveiled was a pre production car, right? I'm sure they still have some testing, evaluation and certification that has to be done. They probably don't have every little detail on the car worked out yet. Once all of that is ironed out, they can get the price hammered out.

I hear ya, but thought maybe other than "top tier" or whatever they may have thrown out a teaser estimate themselves...all good...just hoping a price would show up to stop some of the debate/arguing...lol...

I am completely amazed at the majority of the negitive reactions from people on this forum about the best camaro ever produced. It getting more praise on the challenger forum than here. Chevy is on fire lately with everything they do. Don't worry about the whiners Scott. Real car people can see that you nailed it with this car. I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling everyone you decide to build

Yes I think they did. I wish they would have focused more on performance with the Z/28
