I rented a toy corolla for a week and was board. When I got home all I had to do was to start my 1LE and the boredom was over. The NPP exhaust is open on startup and vroom and the permagrin is back.

Ok, so I haven't driven the Camaro since last Sunday. This morning I had some errands to run so I decided to take the 1le. It was 71% and not humid.
Car felt fantastic. Responsive and pulled hard. I just received my Z28 cai and if I had installed it then I'm sure it would've gotten the credit. Lol
I really wanted to blow off the rest of my day and just drive!!

Catch can really helps with consistency as far as timing being pulled for octane. Ambient temps are still a factor. At the track I can feel a power drop in the hot afternoons versus mornings.

Power is not a problem for smaller tracks here in TX like MSR Cresson or MSR Houston. At COTA, I get passed like I am out on a Sunday drive on the long straights, but mostly GT3s Gen6 ZL1s, Z06s at those events. 4-5 yrs ago when the car was new I was more at the top of the pack.

I have left the engine stock. Instead I worked on gearing and wheels. The car has a lot of punch now.

Gearing is a big factor on why gen 5 Camaros feel a bit sluggish.

Gearing is a bit of an issue for me with AutoX. The fact that 2nd is a lower final drive ratio makes it less ideal for the AutoX that I have done. I am actually trying to shift the car between 1st and 2nd because the RPM's get too low to run it just in 2nd. I know the close ratio of 2, 3 and 4 makes things better on the track, but not so much in the cones maybe.

Maybe I don't drive it enough, but mine doesn't really feel like it pulls very hard. Kind of has a little lope to the idle, is that normal on the LS3? It just seems like my LS1 GTO pulled harder.

Not sure if you have any mods, but simple mods really wake this car up. A Bo White PTB really helps the throttle response. CAI and a tune changes the car completely. I also like the VTC for adjusting the throttle response.
