Chamois or Micro fiber, which one is best for drying your car?

I use a microfiber mitt to wash. Real chamoi is great, fake chamoi not so much. I use 100% cotton dish towels. Not "terrycloth". I wash them over and over til the sizing washes out. Don't dry them with fabric softener, hang them on the line to dry for the best results. They wring out easy and don't scratch. I go through several in the drying process, keep about 8-10 in a stuff bag in the car at all times.
I tried air, wasn't happy with the results because of my spring waters' mineral content. Does anyone squeegee the water off? How does that work? I haven't tried that. Shamwow is a joke. |

I use squeegees alot. I use the spot free rinse cycle with the wand often. So 10 minutes 2x a week instead of an hour on a weekend doing a full wash. It works great for that. I use the silicone one with a 14inch blade and start from the top middle and slide it down. I think it helps that I'm in a pretty dry climate though and I'm really only washing dust away.

What about the Absorber. I use this on my truck, it works fairly well but is it safe for my Camaro's finish?

I swear by the absorber from CleanTools.

My preference - microfiber to wash and clean. A lambskin chamois has always worked best for me to get a spot free dry. The chamois is reasonably fast way to dry and it will last a long time if cleaned and dried well between uses.

I use a lambswool mitt to wash and a separate smaller one for the wheels. Then I blow out all the crevices, around the grille, lights, wheels, mirrors, etc with a leaf blower. I catch the rest of it with a big waffle weave microfiber drying towel.

Thats the worst response I couldve read. Compressed air will shoot tiny debris and scratch the hell out of ur paint w.o a very fine filter. And if the air is from a compressor, it's likely to have moisture and/or oil in ur tank which will come out all over ur car

Bought one of these from a vendor on the Corvette forum a couple years ago. I won't ever use anything else....it's awesome!
