Opportunity and being in the right place at the right time to own two of the ten camaro's that were specially built to honor Dale Earnhardt. Yes I don't drive either one, but drive other collector cars I own and considering buying a new vert camaro this spring.

There are a few that could be investments. If they are rare in some way it could be worth more in the future. Don't know how far down the road the future is, but hey, to each his own.

I bought mine to replace a low 11 sec. 95 Mustang GT, that just wasn't enjoyable anymore

Why did I buy?

Well for me it was kind of (I wish I could have my cake and eat it too) I have a GT40 replica that I thought would be real cool to have and got one, but I soon found out that it was so low and confined that my wife couldn't ride in it without feeling trapped. I love the look of the new camaro and decided a daily driver hobby car was a good compromise + I have wanted one since it came out. So I ended up with my 2011 camaro just last month that has gotten some mods already and once the 40 sells watch out, some of that money will go towards some additional tasteful modding.

So in reality I ended up with my cake and eat it too! I still have my GT40

I voted as fun/daily d. In all honesty though, I loved the concept when it was revealed in '06 and said at that time that I would get one if it goes to production.
For years, i had actual dreams about the '68 SS i had in the '70s. My 2010 reminds me of the '68 often. I reached 20K miles on my 2010 yesterday and they have all been fun miles.
