Z28 rims
While I'm waiting for my Z28 to go thought the local registration, my extra rims and wickerbill have turned up (together with the towhooks and splitter guards). Lovely!
I was looking over the front and rear differences and noticed the major difference on the lightening of the hubs, and also that they are not evenly lightened on the 5 spokes (1 has less than the other 4) Front Rear Assume the lesser overall lightening on the rears is for strength, but wondered re the uneven removal of material - balancing? |

Interesting! How does the oddball pocketing align with the valve stem? Awesome attention to detail.

the valve stem is on the exact opposite side of the oddball pocket. Maybe that's it? Looks like the amount of material for the stem hole is less than the pocket by eyeball, but that's probably it

Where did you order the wheels from? Ive been doing some searching and getting conflicting feedback as far as requiring a core exchange and/or core charge per wheel? The dealer pricing I got is also a bit higher than online stores.

Counteract the weight of the tire pressure sensor and stem...

That's good kit to have waiting . My set arrived last week too. The attention to detail is as expected on the Z/28.

Could it be on purpose and that is from the wheel being balanced?

Oh sure they certainly can..many things manufactured are balanced individually before being balanced as a total assembly. If it is straight true and balanced for each part individually it makes for a much better and balanced total assembly. . Many many manufacturer processes do this..
