Forged lower end
I am still debating what way to go with future engine mods. (Supercharger/turbo) What I don't want to happen is decide I want to do something and be told that I really should have forged internals. So I am wondering what is a rough estimate to have a strong bottom end built. I know some of you guys have already done this, so what did it cost you. Parts and Labor

will you be changing your displacement with the new bottom end?

possibly, depending on cost. I have a friend that built a drag truck from a Ford lighting- he went from 11 sec to 10 to 9's now he's in the 6-7 range with around 2000hp. Every step of the way there was a considerable amount of work or parts that no longer used. I'm not looking to go that extreme but a year down the road I don't want to find out that I now need a stronger lower end to add say another 100 hp.
