315 Square Setup

What would it take to run 315/35R19's on all four corners?

Edit...
Whoops, posted in wrong sub forum. Mods, please move to wheels&tires.

I was hoping 19's would fit cause I drive out to my local events and am concerned about ground clearance.

What size 18" wheels do u run with your Hoosiers, if I may ask?

Dan is spot on. We are running 305/35/20s on the L/28 from Lingenfelter and that rubber just clears. We have found that the sweetest setup is 305/30/19s, unless you go to slicks like Dan has in the 18" range.

my tire sizes are in my signature.
wheel sizes are 18X11.5 front, 18X12.5 rear, made by CCW.
The 18's take a lot of work to fit, and are not recommended for street duty. With the short profile (25.6.height), they don't hit the fender.. but will hit the lower control arm, e-brake cables, and up front, hit the knuckle for the camber adjustment. All of these areas need to be modified to run wide 18 wheels.

What will fit your car on the street is a 19X10.5 with 305/35/19's.

I run 19X10 with 285/35/19 on the street (also my rain tires for autocross).
I went skinnier than the 305's for better wet traction, as i have the 18" slicks for dry.

I can't believe there's no room to squeeze 315's up front (how bout on a 10" wide rim?). 305 is oh so close, but Hoosier doesn't make a 305/19 in any aspect.

Rim width is critical in terms of handling a smaller tire stretched a bit tighter across the rim will handle better than a wider tire in a relaxed fit across a minimum rim width.

That's a great point, Pete. I was hoping someone out there has successfully fitted 19x11" rim up front for 315 Hoosiers. 315s out back is definitely no problem.

I don't know of anyone running a 19x11, but I am quite sure Dave Schardt at Forgeline could do it.

Thanks, Pete. I'll definitely be having a chat with Dave.

You can do it easy, but they will stick out.

i wonder what wheel offset and width would be needed to fit a 305/35/20 up front? that filled out look would look amazing.

Well, I had a chat with Dave Schardt at Forgeline and he says that a 19x11 with 315's is doable. This is preliminary and I'd be more comfortable talking to Dave some more and having him review the combined tire & wheel combo, but I am optimistic.

I'm running a set of Forgeline GA3R rims 19" on my car, I fit a 305 up front. You could get a 315 up front, but will have to double check, as it might not clean multiple parts like 600lpe mentioned.

Let us know what Dave says.
